Coffee Table Books Kinfolk Home Magnolia TableWhen we moved into our second apartment we sold our not-so-old furniture and decided we’d rather use two smaller end tables as our coffee table. The end tables take up less space and we can move them in front of the couch whenever we please, so it seemed like the perfect alternative. But despite not having a physical coffee table, we still have a number of coffee table books around our place.

Styling coffee table books is an easy way to transform your space and add more of your taste and personality to it. It’s an effortless home-decor move that you should totally try if you haven’t already.

You can place the coffee table books under plants stacked like this…

Or you can place them under another item like a trinket basket or speakers. It’s a fun way to bring out your creativity, personality and style. So play around with it and see what works for you and your space.

Here’s a list of some of our favorite coffee table books that we have lying around in our home:

#1

Kinfolk Home: If you’re into home decor or love the minimalist look, this is a book you’ll definitely enjoy. There are pictures and stories of various professionals and how they designed their spaces to their liking and functionality needs. They also reflect on the concept of slow living and enjoying every moment life has to offer ← now that’s something we can get behind. It’s a book your guests can easily pick up and flip through during a quiet moment before dinner. It’s sure to draw some home decor inspiration as well.

#2

The World’s Greatest Cars: It’s no secret that Begad loves cars and his infatuation for them has gradually rubbed off on me. This book, as the title so obviously implies, features the best cars. Ones that will make you go “oooh,” “ahh” and “what?” It’s a fun book to look through with someone else, and a good one for the kids.

Magnolia Table: Recipe books also make great coffee table books. Not only can you get ideas for home-cooked meals but if your guests are also into cooking, then they can get something out of it too when they come over. We’re also huge fans of Chip & Joanna and their lifestyle, so this was a no-brainer!

#4

Plant Style: This is more of an informative picture book. It could definitely serve as a “here’s something you never knew before” book. Plants = life and we try to incorporate them into all of our spaces we use on a daily basis — the kitchen, the living room, the bathroom, etc. Despite it being a short book, there is so much information about how to take care of plants and how to style them in your home that you’re definitely going to want to look through it more than once.

#5

Near & Far: This is a vegetarian travel cookbook. It ties in our love for both travel and food and the recipes aren’t too complicated to try. If you’re into diverse cuisines, then we highly recommend. The pictures are also very artsy and entertaining.

Muslims of the World: We’ve been following @muslimsoftheworld1 on Instagram for a while now. They share inspirational stories and photos of Muslims from every corner of the globe, touching on topics from identity to love. Side note: One of our photos from our wedding was actually shared on the account. You can check it out here.
